Request data deletion - SwiftBible

Last updated: May 6, 2026

SwiftBible is built by AM2 LLC. If you would like us to delete the data associated with your SwiftBible account, follow the steps below. Most SwiftBible users have no server-side data with us - the app works offline and only stores data on our servers if you choose to sign in to sync your notes.

How to request deletion

  1. Send an email to mischke@proton.me with the subject line Delete my SwiftBible data.
  2. Include the email address you used to sign in to SwiftBible. We use this to find your record.
  3. We confirm the request within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your email address from our authentication system (Supabase).
  • Any verse-level notes you synced to our database.
  • The anonymous analytics ID tied to your installs, wherever we can identify it.

What is kept (and why)

  • Donation transaction records - kept for up to 7 years to comply with U.S. tax and accounting recordkeeping rules. We strip identifying information (your email) on request, leaving only the anonymized payment record required for compliance.
  • Aggregate, fully anonymized analytics - events like "a user opened Genesis 1" that have no identifier attached cannot be traced back to you and are not removable from aggregate counts.

Data that stays only on your device

Highlights, bookmarks, reading history, and reading preferences are stored locally on your phone. Uninstalling the app removes them. We have no copy of this data and nothing to delete on our end.
